Mt. Rainier
If you have ever flown into Seattle, WA upon decent you most likely noticed the giant volcanic glacier coming up through the clouds...that my friends is Rainier. We went camping up in the mountains near it and drove up one day to this little town called paradise that is one of the highest spots you can drive to. I also acomplished my second camping endevor and decided on my career field...Professional Marshmellow/Smore Maker. I have perfected the art. :)
Yanks!
I got to check off another thing from my dream list...Watched the Yankees play live.It was so cool and to add to the experience it was my first time at Safeco Field and I loved it there. The only down part of this night was the small fact that they lost...they were up 1-0 for most the game, then in the botton of the eight Mariners third baseman hit a GRaNdSlAm! Making the final 1-4 :(....It was still pretty awesome though and Zach was more than thrilled with beating my team. . . Fun Night!

Awesome Day!
So last Friday was an AWESOME day! It was nonstop coolness and fun! It started off with the morning...I drove out to Bellevue to go to the Seattle Temple, it was gorgeous and I had a really neat time there. Then I headed from there to Redmound where Zach works, to meet him for lunch...the Microsoft campus is amazing and cant even explain it, we ate in this mall like building with stores and restraunts just for their employees (and their family) there is like one hundred buildings on their campus and it has the biggest parking garage in the world! Anyway it was awesome to see where my big bro works except while walking around the campus I suddenly felt even more blonde and dumber than usual walking amist all those computer geniuses. I told Zach, "I am pretty sure I am the dumbest one here, except for the small children" he replyed, "nope they are prob smarter than you too!" (there is a lot of Indian people and Zach said they are really tough on their kids to be smart and competitive so sadly he was probably right). Then just when the day couldnt get any cooler...it did! .... but this post is too long to tell you about it....okay I will anyway, I met Laird Hamilton! yup, if you dont know who that is he is one of the biggest names in surfing and he is way hot! :) Awesome day right, best part is I drove to all these things and navigated all by myself ok maybe I got a little lost just once but found my way!

The Hoh! :)
No not the Ho, get your minds outta the gutter. The Hoh National Rainforest is well...a Rainforest, the only temperate rainforest in the pacific northwest. If you want to see what Im talking about just watch Twilight or Harry and the Henderson's (both were filmed there), its a pretty amazing forest. Speaking of Twilight we stopped in Forks and LaPush on the way into the Hoh and saw where all that Vampire stuff took place, Im not a fan of that stuff but still thought it was cool to see. Anyways we went camping in the Hoh, it was kinda my first time camping minus girls camp. Zach taught me lots, like setting up my tent and making a proper fire. We even got charged by some mama elks that part was not even cool but now a good story to tell.

Alki Beach
BEACH DAY! This is Alki Beach, on the West side of seattle, we kicked it and had a good time, then the Utahns left :( ....But not me cause now I am a Seattleton, and yes indeed that is a word. Me and Avree had a bit of a photo shoot in the back seat and she had us laughin cause there is bridges all over but she couldnt quite say it...so the bridges became b*tches haha and when Skyler called she told him "daddy we went on b*tches!" hahaha good times
Brain Cancer Walk
The point of the trip and all the family (both Zachs and Amandas) was for a very special occassion...the third annual Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, we all came to support and celebrate Amanda's progress and everything that the Sweedish Foundation has done for her and to honor her and her preseverence. Her team, which was named "We Heart Brains" raised $8,ooo dollars to help find a cure for brain cancer. It was a pretty amazing thing there we tons of people there to support the cause and we walked around the Space Needle. I have an amazing sister in law! It was awesome to get to be there for this event!
ZOOology
We went to the zoo with all of the kids, the funny thing is I am pretty sure that all of the adults enjoyed it just as much (if not more) than the kids. My personal favorite was the comodo dragon (a giant lizard) and Avree saw a Hippo at the first stop and thats all she talked about the rest of the time and just wanted to go back to see the Hippo. It was a fun day!

Hello Seattle
I have arrived! I tried to pack light...howd I do? (Hey you try to pack for two months for a city thats 60 and rainin one day and 90 the next)Once we got there we met up with my mom and had some dinner. Our hotel was legit, right on Pike Street. The next day we met up with Zach and Amanda and saw the city a bit and went to the Zoo.
Getting there is half the battle
So I may or may not have a slight problem with being late, so on the day that we were to leave to seattle I had to have an emergency root canal and it ended up throwin off my whole day and I wasnt quite ready to leave on time. So me and Papa smurf booked it to the airport to try and make our plane on time, and of course (like I told him the whole way there) we made it! The funny thing is while we were rushin there asuming Katie was right ahead of us, she (being the cedar city country girl and forgeting her city roots) got lost, and we ended up having to wait for her anyway so it really technically wasnt my fault that we were late. :) Or at least thats what I liked to believe.Anyway we took off to Seattle. It was Avree's first time flyin and she was lovin it, and lovin pullin her suitcase.
